Quotes are given from the photos you send and are valid for 30 days. A quote covers the package named in it and the work listed on the Packages page for that package — nothing else is implied.
A $50 deposit confirms the date and comes off the final price. The studio address is sent once the deposit is received. One vehicle is booked per day, so a held date is a date not offered to anyone else.
Every vehicle is walked over and photographed before any work starts. If its condition is materially worse than the photos showed, you will be given a revised quote before work begins. You may accept it, reduce the scope, or cancel with your deposit returned in full.
Nothing is ever added to the agreed price after the work is done.
Detailing cleans, refines and protects what is there. It is not body repair or paint repair. The following are outside what any detail can do, and are not defects in the work:
Where any of these is visible in your photos it will be pointed out in the quote rather than discovered on the day.
Machine polishing works by removing a controlled, very small amount of clear coat. That amount does not grow back, and no panel can be corrected indefinitely.
Paint thickness is measured panel by panel before polishing. Where a panel reads thin, has been resprayed, or has already been polished hard by someone else, it is treated more conservatively or left alone, and you are told. Defects that cannot be removed safely are left in place rather than chased.
A single-stage correction substantially improves the finish. It is not a promise of a defect-free surface, and no honest shop can give one without knowing the paint.
Vehicles are handled carefully and with the appropriate products for each surface. Even so, parts that are already aged, previously repaired, aftermarket, or held by brittle clips can fail during ordinary cleaning — badges, mouldings, mirror caps, loose trim, worn seals, failing window tint, and panels repaired with filler or re-sprayed off-site.
Kira Auto Studio is not responsible for the failure of parts that were already compromised before the vehicle arrived. Anything noticed during the pre-work inspection is photographed and raised with you before work starts.
Please mention known issues when you book — a loose badge or a repaired panel is easy to work around when it is known about in advance.
Please remove cash, electronics, documents, keys, medication, sunglasses and anything else of value before dropping the vehicle off. Kira Auto Studio is not responsible for items left in a vehicle.
Anything found during cleaning is bagged, kept aside and handed back with the vehicle. Child seats are not removed or reinstalled.
Please confirm you have a spare key before handing the vehicle over. Keys are kept on the person or in a locked drawer while the vehicle is in the studio, and handed back directly.
If a vehicle's own locking system traps the key despite reasonable care — a known issue on some keyless cars — the locksmith or dealer cost is the owner's. If a key is lost through negligence here, it is covered here.
Vehicles must be insured, registered and legally driveable to be accepted. Please tell me about known faults before booking — a leaking sunroof, a dead battery, a window that will not close, a repaired panel.
Service may be declined, before or after arrival, for a vehicle containing biohazardous material, an active pest or rodent infestation, mould that cannot be safely handled, or anything unlawful. Where that happens after arrival, the deposit is returned and the vehicle is released unworked.
Tell me within 48 hours of collection and bring the vehicle back — anything genuinely missed is put right at no charge.
That covers work that was within the agreed scope and was not done. It does not cover new dirt, new marks, a different package than the one booked, or the items listed in section 4 above.
Vehicles are collected on the agreed day unless an overnight stay has been arranged in advance. Paint correction and coating bookings normally stay overnight because the finish needs time to cure indoors.
A vehicle left beyond the agreed date without arrangement may be subject to a storage charge, discussed with you first.
Every vehicle is photographed before and after the work. Those photos are part of the record of the job and are sent to you on completion.
Photos may also be used on this website and on social media to show the standard of work. Licence plates and any identifying details are obscured on request — just say so when you book, and it will be done. You can also ask for your vehicle to be left out of public posts entirely, at any time, including after the fact.
Payment is due on completion, by Interac e‑Transfer or cash. A numbered receipt is issued for every job. All prices are in Canadian dollars and include GST.
These terms, together with the written quote for your booking, are the whole agreement between us. They are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
